WHY CHECK LINKS?

A status code often says more than a screenshot.

An HTTP header tells you whether a page is reachable, cached, redirected or refused by the server. LinkSniffer makes those technical answers readable.

Not every redirect carries a code at all: waypoints answer with 200 and only then send you on via meta refresh or JavaScript. LinkSniffer follows the meta refresh like any ordinary hop and reports detected JavaScript targets separately – found, not claimed. More on this: redirects that are not in the header.
